• Trimming, cutting and slicing
• Separating and sorting organs and meat

• General labouring throughout chillers, boning room and slaughter floor.

Hourly Rate: $19.84

Annual Salary: $39203.84

If you do, a successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Previous experience in a labouring role, knife hand or slaughterman preferred but not essential.
• Ability to maintain and sharpen knives (if experienced)
• Able to work in a repetitive and fast paced environment
• Have Q Fever vaccination or be willing to undergo the Q Fever vaccination process
• Complete a Pre-employment medical functional drug and alcohol test if required.
• Have 2 x contactable references
• Be willing to relocate as soon as possible

Position Summary:

Reporting to the SCWI Manager, the Client Support Coordinator, School College Work Initiative is responsible for all print and digital content related to recruitment, programming, student engagement and retention. This includes the creation and implementation of a strategic marketing plan, which adheres to our branding and SCWI policies.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Management

• Leads and coordinates all communication, print and digital, for the SCWI Office.
• Creates and modifies branded email templates and content for all SCWI Students (Dual Credit, SWAC, and OYAP). Topics include: Welcome to Seneca, Your Next Steps: How to Set up Your Learn@Seneca Account, Orientation, Welcome to Your First Day, Essential Recourses, Contests and Promotion, Feedback Surveys, etc.
• Creates and deploys emails to students, teachers, guidance counsellors, board partners, and external stakeholders, regarding information sessions, special events, and SCWI Activities.
• Coordinates develops and posts content for social media channels in accordance with the social media strategy and content-based calendar.
• Creates, edits, and provides speaking notes for all mixed-media presentations (PowerPoint, Adobe Spark videos) for all SCWI events including, but not limited to, Information Sessions, Orientation, Year End Celebrations.
• Edits and creates content for SCWI websites including course information, student testimonials, FAQs, photos, etc.
• Archives all media and communication content on the department’s SharePoint database.

Communications & Customer Service

• Monitors and responds to social media inquiries from students, parents/guardians, and school boards with 24 hours and generates discussion as needed.
• Responsible for the departmental email inbox and responding to all inquiries with 48 hours.
• Works with Dual Credit Team members and other Seneca departments to answers inquiries and reroute individuals if appropriate.
• Flags any potential concerns to the Dual Credit Coordinator and/or SCWI Manager.
• Assist with Call Campaigns focusing on current student outreach and support.

Strategic Planning, Monitoring, and Measurement

• Create and implement a strategic marketing plan and content-based calendars for email blasts and social media channels, focusing on student recruitment, enrolment, and retention.
• Develop strategies to raise awareness of SCWI’s programming within Seneca, school board partners, and prospective students.
• Creates new procedures and best practices for marketing and communication, oversees implementation and use.
• Stays abreast of new social media channels and marketing initiatives and makes recommendations to the SCWI Manager if new approaches are needed. Use social media monitoring tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Hootsuite) to monitor and report metrics on a regular basis.
• Liaise with Seneca’s Social Media and Media Relations Team for support, guidance, and training.
• Connect with stakeholders including, but not limited to, board partners and guidance counsellors, to identify areas of improvement.

Special Events

• Create all communication pieces related to SCWI Activities and special events (i.e. Financial Literacy, FCAD Day, Mature Student Visits, etc.) including, but not limited to, promotion materials, PowerPoints, videos, and feedback surveys.
• Attend and provide social media coverage and take photos of all SCWI events for marketing purposes.
• Support in the planning, logistics, and presentations of all of SCWI events.

Other Duties as Assigned

• Support the Dual Credit Coordinator and SCWI Manager with special projects.
• Provide clerical and administrative support as needed.
• Attend special events in the evening and on weekends as needed.

Qualifications:

Education

• Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree inMarketing, Communications, Social Media, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field. If you education is in another field of study, please state how it is related.

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations is required.
• Experience within an educational institution, familiar with transitional programming is required.
• Experience creating, writing and editing various forms of print and digital marketing content.
• Social media experience in a corporate or educational environment including metric reporting (i.e. Google Analytics, Hootsuite) and strategic planning

Skills

• Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other presentation software
• Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Proficient in social media channels: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.
• Photography, video, and graphic design experience (Adobe Photoshop) are an asset
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with multi-cultural/racial/able students, staff, and school board partners
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are crucial

• A Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required due to travel with this position
• A skills assessment test will be administered during the recruitment process.
